White Water Rafting... Southern Ontario
EMAIL TO BOOK |
Try some spring whitewater rafting in Ontario on the Nith River, 1 hour west of Toronto. Rafting trips start after the snow melt... March until mid April.
The Nith River is rafted after spring snow melt. This narrow river of pools and swifts, is about 1 meter deep. the trip starts out paddling through a wilderness section of bluffs. Along the way the small sections of rapids are a great trainer for the upcoming white water at the end of the trip. Near the end there is a 1 km splash section with waves 2-3 ft high. This rafting trip is just excellent for beginners and families.
Wet suits are not provided, please bring your own wetsuit or rainsuit..
The Nith can sometimes be rafted during the summer and fall after a heavy rain. Join our River-Rat Club to be notified.
Please note that the Guided Nith River Whitewater is a spring trip only... when the river is in flood condition. A great beginner splash route with 2-3 ft high waves.
Base Cost is $300.00 per raft plus $10.00 per person plus HST (up to 8 people per raft)... includes paddles, life jackets, dry bags, return shuttle ride and one guide per raft.
Cost to join another group doing the Nith Whitewater as one person or two is $60.00 each plus HST
You need to make reservations by email or phone in advance... because we meet you where your trip starts.
It is important to recognize that the weather-news channels are about 20% accurate in their daily forecasting... we are around 85% accurate!
If the weather is bad, we will contact you telling you to save your money and not come. With our cancelation you can get a full refund or pick another date... whatever is best for you.
Also if water levels are what we consider unsafe to paddle... we will cancel our trips with the option to raft or go in a non-tip yak... your safety with us is more important than your money!
We are the only incorporated outfitter business on the river carrying full liability as required by the Grand River Conservation Authority.
We have risk management plans in place, adult waivers and youth consent forms... and our interpretive staff is top notch, undergoing a 3 week training course.
