Rafting the Grand River is a great way to explore the river together. Our Paris route is one that first timers can paddle on their own with a map.
With rafts, families can take from newborns to grand parents... on this 13k route there is an early takeout at the 8km mark.
The rafts cannot tip over, they are great for little ones to move around in during the trip. The rafts will sit 8 people.
The route itself is very scenic... bring your cameras ... there are fresh water springs to drink from, an old mine from the 1830’s, a picnic area with washrooms and a 400m body surfing area
We meet you at our registration booth at the Brant Conservation Area where you get on our shuttle for a ride up to Paris… then you get in your raft and paddle/float your way back to your vehicle.
At the start point you are fitted with life jackets and equipment… get a review of how to steer the raft... and down the river you go rafting and swimming for the day. You can bring a food cooler along and have a picnic with washrooms about 2-2.5 hours downstream. The whole trip usually takes between 4.5 and 6.5 hours depending on the group and river flow rates.
The cost is $150 per raft plus $10.00 per person plus HST... includes raft, paddles, life jackets, dry bags for your camera & phones, shuttle upstream to the start point and a river map.
If wanted you can add a guide for $150.00 instead of taking a map.
With us, there is no time limit, we really encourage you to leave your watches behind and enjoy the day! (you do have to be off the river 1 hour before the sunsets)

Rafting the Grand River is a great way to experience the river together. In our area the river averages 1 meter in depth with a 2 km/hr current speed... so if you tip over, stand up! The wilderness landscape is filled with all types of birds... people find it hard to believe they are one hour from Toronto.
You need to make reservations by email or phone in advance... because we meet you where your trip starts.
It is important to recognize that the weather-news channels are about 20% accurate in their daily forecasting... we are around 85% accurate!
If the weather is bad, we will contact you telling you to save your money and not come. With our cancelation you can get a full refund or pick another date... whatever is best for you.
Also if water levels are what we consider unsafe to paddle... we will cancel our trips with the option to raft or go in a non-tip yak... your safety with us is more important than your money!
We are the only incorporated outfitter business on the river carrying full liability as required by the Grand River Conservation Authority.
