Trips will be run on select Saturday’s and Sundays at 10am and 2pm from June 16, 2012 until September 30, 2012.
Trips are booked on a first come, first served basis.
A limited number of canoes and kayaks are available for each designated date and time.
Please reserve your trip as soon as possible after purchasing your Discount Coupon.

All Heritage River Canoe & Kayak Company’s safety requirements must be followed for the duration of the trip. Heritage River Canoe & Kayak Company reserves the right to cancel the trip due to severe weather including thunder and lightning, high river flows or cold water/air temperatures and high wind. In case Heritage River must cancel your trip you will be moved to the next available date and time. (You must speak with Heritage River staff directly to get confirmation of your new trip date and time.)

All Guided Intro to Canoeing Or Kayaking Eco Adventure Trips leave from Bean Park in Paris, Ontario. Bean Park is located at 4 Spencer St. (at Race St.) in Paris. This is not the Heritage River location listed on our website but a river access point. At Bean Park you may park at the upper parking lot at the entrance from the street or in legal parking areas on the side streets. Please do not park in the turn around and loading area at the river. Parking at Bean Park is free. The property on both sides of the park is private, please do not trespass for any reason or block driveways. Once you have parked please walk down to the river where Heritage River staff will be waiting. If you require written directions to Bean Park please scroll down.

| Do I need to make an advance reservation?Yes. All customers need to make a reservation ahead of time. You can make a reservation by emailing canoeing@heritageriver.comor calling 519.758.0761. If emailing please make sure to provide your Discount Coupon number and your preferred date and time, your name, home phone number and a cell phone number you will have with you the day of the trip. Heritage River will send a return email confirming your reservation.How long does it take to get to Bean Park in Paris?Bean Park is about 100 km west of Toronto and about 80 km east of London and is easily accessible from highway 403. | You park your car at the parking lot at Bean Park, 4 Spencer St in the town of Paris. Bean Park is the meeting and start point for your trip. Parking is free.Do not go to the addresses listed on the Heritage River website or Heritage River location on Google maps. Our location is the finish point of your trip.How do I get back to my car?At the end of your trip you will be shuttled back to your vehicle at Bean Park. |
| How do I pay the HST on the Discount Coupon?The HST will be collected by Heritage River staff upon your arrival and check-in at Bean Park. | What is your cancellation policy? |
| 48hr cancellation notice required is required.Trips may be cancelled due to severe weather and/or high river flows at Heritage River Canoe & Kayak Company’s discretion.What about the weather?Trips go rain or shine within reason. Please remember that the weather where you live may be totally different than the weather on the river. Proper clothing and a fun loving spirit of adventure will help you to have a great time no matter what the weather. If Heritage River needs to cancel your trip due to severe weather or high flows we will let you know as soon as possible. A dollar store disposable poncho is a great investment if there are rain showers. |
| What if I do not show up for a trip I have reserved? |
| If you do not show up for your reserved trip without notifying Heritage River your Discount Coupon becomes null and void. |
| Are there any age or height restrictions? |
| Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. There must be one adult per child under the age of 12. Single kayaks are not recommended for children under the age of 10. No children under 3 years of age. There are no height restrictions. (Please let us know if you are taller than 6’4” or over 250lbs.) |
| Are there any campsites or hotels etc available if we wish to extend our stay? |
| Yes, Heritage River offers riverside campsites at Brant Conservation Area and discounted room rates at the Best Western Brant Park Inn and Hampton Suites. |
| What should we bring for our trip? |
Remember that you will be out in the sun for the duration of your trip and it is important to prepare. Here is a list of items that you should consider:

| Are there any portages ? |
| There are no portages on this stretch of river. |
| Can I bring a camera, cell phone or IPod etc? |
| Yes, but make sure to put them in a dry bag or zip lock bags. Anything not sealed in a waterproof container or bags may get ruined. |
| Is there a waiver I need to sign? |
| Heritage River does have a waiver that you will have to sign before your trip. |
| Can anyone sign Heritage River’s waiver? |
| No, only persons 18 years of age or older can sign our waiver. You may not go on a trip without a signed waiver, therefore if you are under the age of 18 please have your parent or guardian come on the trip or ask Heritage River to send you a waiver ahead of time so that it can be signed by your parent or guardian. |
| What happens if I do not use my Discount Coupon before September 30, 2012? | |

Bean Park, Paris is approximately 1 hour west of Toronto and 45 minutes east of London and is easily accessible from hwy. 403. From the 403 at Brantford take the Paris Rd exit (Hwy 2/exit 33) Stay to the right which will take you right into Paris. At the intersection with Hwy 5 (Dundas St) turn left. Stay on Hwy 5 until you go over the Grand River at the first lights past the bridge (Washington St) turn left. Stay on Washington St until Anne St. Turn left on Anne St. Go down Anne St to the four way stop sign. Go through the intersection onto Spencer St go down to the end of Spencer and you will see Bean Park in front of you.
