Awards and Nominations

In 2010 Heritage River Canoe & Kayak Company was nominated for awards in “Environmental Sustainability” for their work on the Grand Paddle as well as a People’s Choice Award for best local attraction.  Adam Fernley the owner of Heritage River Canoe & Kayak Company has been nominated for an award as a Tourism Innovator for his work promoting this beautiful area.

 Heritage River Canoe & Kayak Company and Adam Fernley have also been nominated for the second time for a Watershed Award given out by the Grand River Conservation Authority for their efforts over the past 11 years to keep the Grand River watershed the pristine gem it is.

In the past Heritage River Canoe & Kayak Company was the first outfitting company on the Grand River to win a Shining Stars Tourism award for “Customer Service Excellence” and to this date maintains the highest standards of customer service making sure every trip provides the customer with the best memory possible.   Our business is built on repeat customers and referrals. 

Heritage River Canoe & Kayak Company was the 2004 winner of the Shining Stars Tourism Award for “Customer Service Excellence and was nominated in 2005 and 2006 for the same award.
