Our guided rafting trips on the Grand River are like a floating classroom.
Open 7 days a week . April til November . Reservations Required.
We offer two guided routes the Cayuga or the Oneida.... both have an amazing wilderness landscape.
Inspite of having maps, people miss so many things on the river... but with a guide that does not happen!
The Cayuga Run is classified as our beginner run... it is 13km long and takes about 4-4.5 hours to do. On this route you stop and drink from fresh water springs, visit an old mine from the 1830s, hike to a lookout and learn about edible and medicinal plants... see what poison ivy and stinging nettle look like... stop for a riverside picnic area with washrooms... go further down and try a 400m body surf... learn how to make fire without matches... learn about the fish & wildlife of the valley... learn about the First Nations History of the Valley. Cost is $160.00 per raft, plus $7.50 per person and the guide is $145.00 plus HST. Many groups go with 2-3 rafts and 1 guide.
The Oneida Run is classified as intermediate... it is about 13km long. This canoe trip has about 6-7 short sections of fast water, 1km in total. The trip takes about 4-4.5 hours pending river current speed. This trip has portapotties and a picnic area about 2/3 of the way down. Along the way visit the 300yr old sycamore tree that is hollow inside... do a hike learning wild edible plants and trees, stop at an island for lunch and go body surfing. Visit fresh water springs. Do a hike to a lookout on the top of the Three Sisters... try threading with your boat the famous "Eye of the Needle". Cost is $175.00 per raft, plus $7.50 per person and the guide is $145.00... plus HST. Many groups go with 2-3 rafts and 1 guide.
Price includes your raft, paddles, life jackets, dry bag, shuttle ride and your map or guide.

You need to make reservations by email or phone in advance... because we meet you where your trip starts.
It is important to recognize that the weather-news channels are about 20% accurate in their daily forecasting... we are around 85% accurate!
If the weather is bad, we will contact you telling you to save your money and not come. With our cancelation you can get a full refund or pick another date... whatever is best for you.
Also if water levels are what we consider unsafe to paddle... we will cancel our trips with the option to raft or go in a non-tip yak... your safety with us is more important than your money!
We are the only incorporated outfitter business on the river carrying full liability as required by the Grand River Conservation Authority.
We have risk management plans in place, adult waivers and youth consent forms... and our interpretive staff is top notch, undergoing a 3 week training course.
